Age Concern’s Latest E-Newsletter

Welcome you to another edition of our newsletter. We hope you’ve enjoyed your week so far. This week is packed full of celebrations!

The Waitangi Day celebrations attracted possibly the biggest crowds ever this year. The general theme of the three days was kotahitanga (unity), with some debates about the Treaty Principles alongside the usual festival entertainment. That was just the start of this month’s celebrations. The Chinese New Year celebrates the Year of the Dragon starting with the new moon on 10 February with festivities continuing in some places until the Lantern Festival on 24 February. People born during the Year of the Dragon are said to be ambitious, confident and charismatic. Not to be outdone, the Wellington Pasifika Festival celebrating our unique Pacific communities will be on at Waitangi Park on 10 February. Enjoy these celebrations and/or join in the other activities listed in this newsletter.

Thanks for sharing a few moments of your day with us. Please give us a call on
